Genesis Shearing is a sheep contracting business located in the Mid North Region, South Australia. They specialise in providing professional livestock services with a trusted and experienced team. Harry approached me regarding a design that is bold and modern, and is uniquely 'Genesis Shearing'.
A Logo and Brand built on Australian history
Harry came to me needing a logo for his new shearing contracting business — one that honoured his family’s deep roots on the land. He had a clear vision: the business name inside a rounded box, with old-style shears layered on top. I said, “I have an idea I’d love to share with you…” and he was instantly sold on the design I pitched.
While sketching in our own shearing shed, I drew inspiration from the tools around me. Looking closely at a handpiece, I shaped the words Genesis Shearing to form the body of the tool, seamlessly integrating them into the 13-tooth comb.
The result? A logo that feels fresh and professional, while still paying tribute to a time-honoured trade.
Clean, modern design inspired by the land
A bold brand ready to work
The full brand package included a primary logo and mark, a refined typography system, and a rich, meaningful colour palette. Deep blue communicates trust and strength, while a dark metallic grey adds contrast. A soft cream ties it all together - a nod to Australia’s iconic shearing heritage.
